I’ll Use My Office To Help Increase Kwara State IGR —- Nollywood Actor Femi Adebayo.

Special Adviser to Kwara State Governor on Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mr Femi Adebayo, has said he hopes to use his office to help promote the cultural heritage of the state and also increase the internally generated revenue.

Speaking at a press conference today in Ikeja, the Nollywood Superstar said he hopes to use the forthcoming ASA WA (OUR CULTURE) stage play to showcase the cultural heritage of Kwara State to the world which will attract domestic and foreign investors.

The highly respected thespian, while addressing journalists ahead of the 5th anniversary of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed in office, said the people of Kwara are about to witness the best of cultural celebration in the state.

In his words, he said: Kwara State is rich in many beautiful and avluable cultures which are as a result of many ethnic groups like Nupe, Fulani, Yoruba, Baruba amongst others.

Continuing he said “Kwara State Government in her responsibility to make known to the world those beautiful and valuable cultures in the state, through my good office and Kwara State Ministry of Culture and Tourism in partnership with some private organizations, organizes a command stage play tagged ‘ASA WA’ (OUR CULTURE), which would showcase the Kwara Cultural Heritages to the world and attract domestic and foreign investors.

The command stage play, which will be a joint performance of the more than 20 top Nollywood actors and talented artists based of Kwara State Council for Arts and Culture will take place on Friday 27th May, 2016 at the Banquet Hall, Opposite Kwara State Government House, Ilorin by 4pm.

Conclusively, Mr. Femi Adebayo said ‘The programme is the first of it’s kind and certainly going to be entertaining,educative and memorable; so it is worth not missing.

Kano Govt Officially Accepts BON Awards Hosting Right, As Peugeot, Max Air and LaCasera Declares Support [PHOTOS]

The executive governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR, has on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, officially unveiled the right to host 2019 Best of Nollywood Awards.

The event, which took place at the government house, witnessed the presence of notable members of the Kano State government.

The governor, during the presentation of the certificate to him by the Chief Executive of Officer of BON, Seun Oloketuyi, said, “We’re are excited that Best of Nollywood is taking here and this is history in the making for the good people of Kano State.”

Ganduje also used the opportunity to welcome the industry players to Kano State while promising them a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The city of Kano State will be agog on December 14, 2019, as crème de la crème of the make-believe industry will storm the state for the 2019 edition of Best of Nollywood Awards.

In a related development, the makers of the luxury car brand, Peugeot, among others, has also thrown its weight behind the awards.

The French automotive manufacturer will be joining the likes of Max Air, LaCasera and others.

Instagram Celebrity Mompha Arrives Court Ahead of His Arraignment By EFCC For ‘Yahoo-Yahoo’

Popular internet celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, also known as Mompha has arrived at the Lagos Federal High Court, ahead of his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Mompha is expected to be arraigned on a 14 counts charge bordering on cyber fraud and money laundering.

EFCC had arrested Mompha for alleged internet fraud and money laundering recently at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The anti-graft agency made the disclosure in a series of tweets titled: “Alleged Internet fraud, Money Laundering: EFCC Arrests Ismaila Mustapha, a.k.a Mompha.

Following the declaration in his arraignment, Mompha had on Thursday dragged EFCC before a High Court in Lagos State

Mompha instituted a fundamental rights enforcement suit against EFCC for detaining him beyond the constitutionally stipulated days without charging him to court.

In the suit filed by his lawyers, Gboyega Oyewole (SAN), Ademola Adefolaju, Kolawole Salami and four others, the businessman is demanding the sum of N5m as damages from the anti-graft agency.

The self-acclaimed Bureau-De-Change operator also sought a court order directing the EFCC to release him unconditionally forthwith from its custody.

Mompha is seeking an order of perpetual injunction restraining EFCC or any person whatsoever acting for or on behalf of the agency from arresting and detaining him in relation to the subject of the suit without recourse to due process of law.
