King Olu Segun Gabriel aka [KOS G] is set to thrill his fans and global music audience with a new single titled POLONGO.
This new sound is coming in the heels of the much accepted release of his last song VIBES which featured Terry Apala and which was described as the real definition of good music.
With such history, its only normal to expect the best delivery in this latest effort of KOS G, and he is set to do just that with ‘POLONGO’ .
Describing POLONGO as an Afropop Recipe, which was produced by JVD Sounds Classic, mixed and mastered by Cheqwas, KOS G says “POLONGO is a song I am very proud of, this is because there is a uniqueness to the sound. I am sure everyone will love it’
Olusegun Gabriel a.k.a KOS G,  is a recording and performing artist who has a lot of vibes to offer in the music industry,  locally and internationally. So for him, the world is yet to hear his best sound.
The creative, energetic and talented song-writer, rapper and singer released his new joint titled “Vibes”; with the king of new school Terry Apala, produced by Blaze to wide acclaim and so POLONGO is set to top the success of Vibes.
Born and breed in Lagos, he attended Our Lady of Apostles  Private School Yaba and St. Gregory’s College, Lagos. He graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University with a BSc. in Computer Science.

BON Commiserates With Baba Sala’s Family, Names Comedy Award Category After Him

Following last week’s death of iconic Nigerian comedian, dramatist and filmmaker, Moses Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala, the Best Of Nollywood Awards, BON has renamed its comedy category after the late legend.

A statement by the Head of the Best of Nollywood Jury, Niran Adedokun explained that the award will “henceforth be known as the Moses Adejumo Comedy of the Year Award in recognizing the contributions that the late veteran artiste made to the development of comedy in Nigeria.

Adedokun , who noted that Bala Sala was a total performer whose early investments in the alongside many of his contemporaries laid the foundation for the increasingly growing entertainment industry.

“Being Nigeria’s leading homegrown and home focused movie awards, the Best of Nollywood Awards honours the memory of this great man and have decided to name our comedy awards after him. It is the least that we can do as a Nigerian award even though we understand that he deserves much more and hope that our government will consider immortalizing him in some way, the statement offered.

He expressed the condolences of the organisers of the award to the Adejumo family urging them to take solace in the enviable legacy of the late filmmaker who started his career in show business as a highlife musician in 1964 with a group known as the Federal Rhythm Dandies and was noted to have tutored and guided the Juju maestro, King Sunny Ade, who was his lead guitarist at the time.

BREAKING: Veteran Comedian, Baba Sala, Is Dead

Veteran comedian, Moses Adejumo, popularly known as Baba Sala, is dead, The PUNCH is reporting.

According to the newspaper, Adejumo, who hails from Ilesa in Osun State, died on Sunday night at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex Annex (Wesley Guild Hospital) in Ilesa.

His Media Assistant, Isaac Haastrup, confirmed the development to The PUNCH in a telephone interview.

Hastrup said: “Baba has died.

“He died some minutes to 10pm on Sunday night.

“His remains had been taken to the morgue.

“He died of old-age related sickness.

“He came to church two Sundays ago and he was the one that said the benediction.

“Baba has gone to be with the Lord and he will be missed by many people, including his fans.”

BON Awards 2018 Gets Date, Announces October 29 for Host State, Nominees Unveiling

Best of Nollywood, BON Awards, the highly coveted award platform in Nollywood, has announced December 9, as the date for the 2018 edition of the ceremony, which also doubles as the celebration of a decade of the award ceremony, a press statement has revealed.

The statement was made public on Friday, September 28, and signed by the Chief Executive of BON, Seun Oloketuyi.

He revealed that the host state and unveiling of the 2018 nominees will be announced October, 29. Oloketuyi also assured that this years edition which is also the tenth year anniversary of the award will be the mother of all in Nollywood.

BON Awards is an annual film event presented by Best of Nollywood Magazine to honour outstanding achievements in the Nigerian Movie Industry.
