When fashion meets fashion, the outcome is usually a massive explosion. Creative Consultant, Freelance Fashion Editor and Stylist, Shiona Turini, will be there live at the GTBank Fashion Weekend, holding on November 11th and 12th, 2017.
Shiona Turini is a prolific fashion icon who has worked with over a dozen magazines, ranging from the New Yorker to Cosmopolitan. Born and raised in Bermuda, Shiona placed herself as one of the industry leading experts when she took the responsibility to shoot all products exhibited on Cosmopolitan Magazine – the largest women’s publication in the world.
Now based in New York, Shiona has worked with Teen Vogue and W Magazine, both as an Accessories Editor. Presently, she is a contributing editor at Amazon Fashion, Christian Dior, K’Dia Jewelry, Oscar de la Renta and other international brands.
She has also worked with international brands such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford, among others.
In 2014, Shiona began styling Pop Star sisters Beyoncé and Solange Knowles for their music videos and appearances, such as Formation, Cranes in the Sky and Don’t Touch My Hair.
She was also the lead stylist for the equality campaign of global brand Nike, which featured LeBron James, Serena Williams and Gabby Douglas.
Happening at Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, Shiona Turini, will be sharing her winning career tips in line with Digital Age Fashion at the GTBank Fashion Weekend. This session will be intense and will expose participants to the practical side of fashion as well as answer their most troubling questions.

Day 1: The GTBank Fashion Weekend, Meet the Runway Designers [PHOTO]
Hard work, creativity, and passion, punctuated by the clicking of heels, define a single moment on the GTBank Fashion Weekend Runway Show.
On Saturday, November 10th, and Sunday, November 11th, 2018, thousands of guests will be entertained by this single moment as indigenous and internationally renowned designers showcase their brands on the runway.
These are the designers slated for Day 1 of the 2018 GTBank Fashion Weekend:
ItuenBasi’s 2009 collection brought back the proliferation of the Oleku trend which led to the new wave of the Ankara interpretation all around Nigeria and even beyond the shores of Africa. Sukeina – Omar Salam
Omar Salam is the Senegalese-born designer behind SUKEINA, a global fashion brand worn by some of the best-dressed women in the world. He studied fashion at the prestigious Parsons School of Design and has created 8 exquisite collections which strike a resemblance to wearable art.
Romeo Hunte is a self-named lifestyle brand. His collection consists of outerwear pieces that have a mix of cool-girl denim designs and everyday style for the fashion forward-guy. Romeo’s design has been worn by Hollywood A-listers like Beyoncé and Gabrielle Union.
Gozel Green – Sylvia Enekwe and Olivia Jude-Okoji
Sylvia Enekwe and Olivia Jude-Okoji are the brains behind the budding Label, Gozel Green, established in the year 2010. Growing up in the eastern part of Nigeria, Enugu, they were tremendously inspired by their art-loving parents and their immediate environment. These inspirations birthed Gozel Green and thus paved way for artistry, originality and timelessness as their forefront design aesthetics.
Clive’s creations are well-known both locally and abroad, adored by bold and fearless women for their charismatic charm. Today, Clive Rundle has established his name as one of the forefathers of contemporary fashion design in South Africa.
Adama Paris – Adama Amanda Ndiaye
Adama Amanda Ndiaye is the brain behind Adama Paris, which celebrates the multicultural, elegant, and versatile woman. Her work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, CR Fashion Book and worn by celebrities like Teyana Taylor.
Proclaimed as South Africa’s kind of Fashion, David Tlale designs are known to employ the unpredictable use of fabric, color, and texture, David’s designs have been gracing the runways of NYFW from 2008 till date.

GTBank Fashion Weekend: UK Fashion Buyers, Stavros Karelis& Anna Trevelyan To Speak On “The Concept of Fashion Curation”
Stavros Karelis is the Founder & Buying Director of MACHINE-A, a London-based independent concept store for men and women and Anna Trevelyan is the Co-founder and Fashion Director of MACHINE-A.
In 2009, Stavros and Anna opened MACHINE-A, with the of aim of showcasing emerging designers alongside established fashion brands. The store quickly became London’s coolest retail destination.
Between them, Stavros and Anna share an array of awards and accomplishments: Stavrosis a recipient of GQ’s35 most successful men under 38 award and Business of Fashion’s 500 shaping the fashion industry. Anna is also a recipient of the BOF 500 (Business of Fashion) award and a two-time winner of the top 3 fashion influencer by The Guardian “Club 100”.
Stavros and Annaare both passionate about supporting and developing young fashion brands and design talents through mentorship and giving retail spaces in MACHINE-A.
