An hidden treasure waiting to be explored, for over two centuries, the people of Igarra has celebrated the ABA Festival, even before Nigeria gained independence, they’ve witnessed, fought and survived battles, colonization and territorial conflicts, vast and filled with dexterity.

Igarra is also known as “Etuno” the people are hospitable;they’ve got great sense of humor and great FOOD; protected by the positive energy of the Kukuruku Hills, renowned and known for her diversity, it is surrounded by neighboring communities who works together to foster economic growth and development.

ABA Festival is significant and prestigious, it reiterates the importance of unity amongst the people, cultural values and heritage passed down from generations in celebrating the victories of our heroes,with sounds from the historic ABA drum, only drummed ones every six luna years or seven calendar year; it’s an ancient gift left by the fore fathers of the land to celebrate the emerged Azebani chives.

The 2018 GTBank Fashion Weekend Model Casting Call Holds October 2nd

Calling All Models!

Have you got what it takes to strut the runways of Africa’s biggest fashion event? Then, the GTBank Fashion Weekend is looking for you.

In preparation for the upcoming 2018 GTBank Fashion Weekend, there will be an in-person Model Casting Call at Muson Center, Onikan, Lagos on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018.

Models selected at the Casting Call will showcase the latest fashion designs at the 2018 GTBank Fashion Weekend, holding in November 10th and 11th, 2018.

Requirements: Only female models between the ages of 18 to 27 and from 5’9” and above will be considered

Dress code: Tank top and jeans. Also, bring along a pair of high heels (To Walk In).

Date: Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 Time: 9AM-2PM

Venue: Muson Center, Onikan, Lagos.

GTBank Fashion Weekend: Sketch To Fame; A Call for Aspiring African Fashion Designers

Are you are an aspiring fashion designer? Can you create amazing fashion sketches? The Sketch to Fame competition is for you!

Organized by GTBank, the Sketch to Fame Competition is offering young African fashion designers the opportunity to have their original collection produced and showcased at the 2018 GTBank Fashion Weekend.

To participate in the Sketch to Fame competition, share five of your original sketches for a new collection on social media (Twitter, Instagram or Facebook) using the hashtag #Sketch2Fame. A panel of judges will shortlist 10 participants who will move to the next stage and the audience will decide the final 3 entries whose collections will be produced and showcased at the 2018 GTBank Fashion weekend.

Sketch to Fame challenge is part of the GTBank Fashion Weekend initiative created to promote enterprise in the African fashion industry.
